If you're a history buff, check out Mt. Zion Old School Baptist Church, a building that was used as barracks, a prison, and a hospital during the American Civil War. Situated on the corner of Little River Turnpike and Old Carolina Road, the church was built in 1851 and hosts reenactments and tours.

The Aldie Harvest Festival, held on the third Saturday of October, attracts people from across Loudoun County and beyond. Established in 1964, the festival includes arts and crafts, local food vendors, and the Aldie Duck Race, an annual tradition of releasing thousands of rubber ducks in Little River, a 65-mile tributary that flows through Southwest Virginia.

If you're hungry in Aldie, head to Village Center Plaza where you'll find Italian restaurants, pizza parlors, and sandwich shops. If it's a bargain you're after, visitAldie Peddler, a shop that sells vintage furniture and antique treasures. The store's owner also organizes regular wine tasting events.

Spacious detached properties make up the bulk of Aldie real estate, but you'll still find apartments and smaller family homes in the community.
